![]() World War Toons will be available on both Sony’s Morpheus and Oculus’ Rift VR headsets close to launch next year. It’s certainly a novel way to approach the challenges inherent in VR first person shooter gameplay, although we’d need to spend more time with the game before we’re totally convinced by it. The demo also allowed you to morph into a tank at any point for some heavy artillery combat. ![]() The demo here featured various enemies and some fun elements including jump pads to add a little aerial flavour to the action. The team were demoing a build using a single Playstation Move controller, with rotational movement handled by head tracking (you’ll see the player rotating on a swivel chair to accommodate this) and forward movement handled by the centre button. We’d not had a chance to experience Reload Studios’ World War Toons on Sony’s Playstation 4 VR system Morpheus prior to E3. Here’s a short gameplay video of the game in action. Finally set up, albeit with wonky wi-fi, it was time to dive into Reload Studios new game, World War Toons, a multiplayer first person shooter set in WWII. Its pretty fun, definitely something to come back to from time to time. Fast forward to months later becoming a seasoned VR player, this game really is a hidden gem. ![]() The game made me feel really sick and I didnt think the gameplay was enough to compensate. ![]() World War Toons by Reload was one of them. I played it day 1 when PSVR pretty much just launched. However, the statement on their website portrays a grim picture, imo. Sony’s Morpheus had a huge presence at E3 this year with the system present in nearly 20 demos on the show floor. World War Toons was great It was taken down until the full release. ![]()
